A TEAR JERKER (IF YOU'RE THINKING OF THE FAULT IN OUR STARS, YOU'RE RIGHT)

I'm at a loss for words to begin with. Is life unfair? Yes. Should we take the opportunity while we still have it? Yes. Did this film make me feel the deepest emotions and damn pain? It did, indeed.

So, I guess that's all. Let's not bring it up again...

This is one of the rare films that has made me cry. The 2014 film version of John Green's book of the same name is both a drama and a romance. Shailene Woodley plays Hazel, the main character who has thyroid cancer, and Ansel Elgort plays her "friend" Augustus (nicknamed Gus) who is a former basketball player with no leg.

We know how the film will end from the start, but we still hope for a miracle, for a happy ending. It's impossible not to fall in love with the characters. The main characters' love evolves into a wonderful illustration of love until death (and even longer).

This movie joins "All the Bright Places" (2020), on my list of "Movies for a good cry".
